I have begun construction on a pair of flight cases which are designed to act both as a performance surface AND to offer protection during transport.
The design incorporates my battered Roland V-Stand and a system of truss clamps and aluminium tubing to create a scaffold for the flight cases to mount on. I will be able to vary the distance between the two platforms, as well as their angle and height. The design also finally clears the visual space and line of sight between performer and audience by putting the laptop not in front of me but below me, pointing upwards, cradled in canvas straps. This will allow an open space in front of me for the Leap Motion hand gesture controller.
